We are pleased to announce, the Bristol Animal Shelter has been designated as a Rhode Island State Emergency Pet Shelter. As such, the shelter will house animals in the event of a natural disaster or other emergency. During these events, residents may have to vacate their homes, and may not be able to take their pets. The Bristol Animal Shelter will provide safe harbor for these animals. There are four other State Emergency Pet Shelters in Rhode Island.
